Do not taunt the happy fun ball (or Moon Dough)

Lonna with her Moon Dough doggies.....the actual warning on this is as bad as the SNL skit for Happy Fun Ball. I copied it below.....

"Warning: Choking Hazard - small parts. Not for children under 3 years."
"DO NOT add water or liquid to the Moon Dough for mixing purposes."
"DO NOT allow soap or liquid soap to come in contact with Moon Dough"
"DO NOT let the molds get wet."

Those were the large print warnings - now for the small print:
"Never try to remove dough particles from eye with bare hands"
"Never rub the eye with dough particles. Blink the eye several times causing tears to flow that may washout the dough particles. Flush eye with cold water to remove the dough particles. If irritation persists obtain medical attention."
"Dough should not be placed in the mouth."
"Dough is not intended to be eaten or swallowed"
"Wash hands with liquid soap after playing with Moon Dough."

Car gears

This is from the accident - found this in the snow 100+ feet from the road. Not sure what part it actually used to be - but it was a heavy piece of metal that looked cool.

The decor may change - but the door stays the same

The door at my mom's house where we measure heights...

In the 70's the floor was the same as the door (and actually still was that flooring  till a couple years ago when we redid the floors with bamboo)

Paperwhites on booze

Mom's paperwhites that she added alcohol to to stunt their growth.

Eskimo in the snow

A missed tree ornament I found in the path the tree made in the snow. This is one of Darren's childhood ornaments from 1983. I found one other ornament outside today too....sometimes I wonder how many ornaments we lose this way each year.

Drinking out of a beaker

Snow covers most the traces of the accident.

Snow early this morning blanketed most traces that anything happened here last night.
(I think the car hit the right side of the tree and came to rest on the left side)

A windshield wiper is still in the tree.

Small pieces of the car were visible through the snow in our yard.
This one is over 50 feet from where the car ended up .

What Darren brings home when at Meijer for 2 hours without anything to shop for...

Since Darren couldn't get to our house because of the accident - he went shopping.  One of the things he brought back is the ingredients for this yummy girlie drink.  It is a Loch  Lomond - scotch, peach schnapps, blue curacao, fresh grapefruit juice, fresh lemon juice and garnished with  a slice of star fruit.

The Accident

A car accident happened in front of our house tonight as I was setting up the camera in our office to take some pics of Lonna.  This is the view from the office. After calling 911 and running out to help (and getting out of the way once real help arrived)  I came back to my camera set up ready to go in the office.  Still in a bit of shock and not knowing what else to do I shot a few pictures.  I considered going out in the yard to take more (like of the car and tree).   Even though there is nothing I could do at this point I still felt like I was intruding taking pictures any closer  - it just didn't feel right. This is also why I would not make a good photojournalist.

The big oak tree is what she hit.

That is what is left of the car (behind the firemen)

Waiting for the bus

Waiting for Lonna to get home from school I took a few pics.

The oak tree across the street through the snow/ice on the windshield.
